ALASKA FIRE SERVICE BLM CREWS
ARE HOSTING A REUNION COMMEMORATING 40 YEARS OF TYPE 1 STATUS!
*This is not an official BLM event, and the BLM is not endorsing or sanctioning the event.
While we are celebrating the 40 years of Type 1 status we recognize and understand that the crews existed long before then and that the program was built up over time.
We certainly acknowledge that important part of our shared history.
Please share the news of the reunion with anyone you may know that would like to come. We would really like to see folks that were on the crews before we were around and anybody associated with Alaska Fire Service in any capacity since the beginning of time.

1645- Hotshot History
1730 - Hotshot Flip
1800 - Dinner* prepared by Ed Haine and the Galena Kitchen
2000 Till Dark - Traditional Hotshot Games
May 11th
0600: No QB Hike
1100 - Tour at AFS* (Pre-registration required)
1300 - Lunch* at AFS Dining Hall
1200-1500 Hangout & Yard Games at Chena Lakes
1500 - Tie Dye Booth, Piñata, Yard Games
1700- Hotshot Awards
1800 - Potluck* Wild Game Dinner*
1900 - Crew Photos (By decade, Crew, Sups)
2000 - Raffle
2200 - Slide Show* (Please Submit Photos)
*Please Note, these are the only meals provided. We'll have a fire and BBQ for use.
How Much?
Our priority is attendance so there will be no cost to attend.
However, we will be selling T-Shirts, Hats etc.

Alaska Fire Service Tour
We are doing an Alaska Fire Service base tour and lunch on Saturday May 11th. If you're interested let us know. We will need to get you on the Base Access Request and you will get a pass at the Fort Wainwright Visitors Center. We need the full names of anybody requesting access.
